| Q |
When will the reunion be held? |
| A |
- The Reunion is scheduled to span a weekend in May 2011, beginning Friday May 13th, and ending Sunday, May 15th, 2011. This is the weekend that falls between Mothers' Day (May 8), and Victoria Day (May 23), so it should not interfere with other celebrations, but out-of-towners might consider it to be a fun extension to these events. As well, if the weather cooperates, the Tulip Festival should be in full swing, so there should be many reasons to travel to Ottawa at that time!

| Q |
I added my name to the contact list and I noticed that my married name is in brackets but my maiden name is not. This doesn't appear to be correct, did I do something wrong? |
| A |
- You did nothing wrong. This is a protocol that has been chosen by the website designers. The reasoning is that most people will know someone by their maiden name and not their married name, so it was decided that the maiden name should go first.

| Q |
If I list my name on the website am I committed to buying tickets for the Reunion events? |
| A |
- No. Listing your name on the website does not commit you to any of the activities being planned for the Reunion. It's just a fun way to say hello to everyone and it also gives the Reunion Committee the information necessary to contact everyone with planning updates.

| Q |
I didn't actually graduate from Hillcrest, so what do I put in the Graduation Year slot?
|
| A |
- For students, we recommend the extrapolation technique to align yourself with the classmates in your class. For example: A student in Grade 9 from Sept. 1970 to June 1971 would graduate either from Grade 12 in June 1974, or from Grade 13 in 1975.
- Faculty/Staff could use this slot to represent their retirement year, or the year they left Hillcrest, if appropriate.

| Q |
Why are there two places to sign up: Classmates.com and hillcrestottawa50th.ca?
|
| A |
- Classmates.com boasts having over 4,000 of our alumini as members. By listing our reunion at classmates, we can potentially alert all of them to our plans. However, there are thousands more who do not subscribe to classmates.com, and the site has other limitations which make it impossible to completely manage the entire event. So, we created this website (hillcrestottawa50th.ca) to do just that. There's more to come so check back here often!

| Q |
There used to be a "Who's Coming" list. Where did it go?
|
| A |
- The "Who's Coming" list showed the names of people who indicated that they were coming on the now obsolete RSVP form. Since that information is already displayed on the Registration page, a separate RSVP list was not needed, so it was removed. If your name is not listed, please add your profile on the "Remember Me?" page.
